I absolutely loved this story. I have no idea if it was a true story or not but the braveness of this little feline can teach us all a real lesson. Just because you have a handicap doesn't mean you can live a wonderful life.
This has been one of my favourite reads this year- probably in the top 10. Gwen Cooper is an incredible author, and the books is a hilarious, heart warming read. I would recommend to any pet lover. (Especially Cat Lovers.)

Wonderful story! Homer lost his eyes to infection when he was just a kitten, but that didn't let it stop him! He was truly a force of nature, and just a sweet fur-baby. Reading about what a date did when he saw a black cat (gasp!) made me…

Highly amusing and touching. I especially liked the chapter regarding her transfer from Miami to New York. My heart broke for all the animals no one came back for following 9/11. I admire Gwen's determination.

This is the part of the library blurb that really says it all: "...it was Homer's unswerving loyalty, his infinite capacity for love, and his joy in the face of all obstacles that inspired Gwen daily and transformed her life." Anyone who…

A very inspirational book by an author who has clearly studied and enjoyed her cat companions. She saved his life and then he saved her life. As a cat lover I read it in one day, as a disabled person it
gave me a good example of courage…

Homer is an extraordinary cat. Losing both eyes to infection when he was just a few weeks old, he gets by just fine without them and ends up teaching his "Mom" how to see with her heart.

I always thought that non-fiction books were boring. This is another non-fiction book that is very interesting. Homer is blind and his new 'mom' learns lots about life and taking chances from Homer. A very endearing story.

Originally I took this book out because the cat pictured on the cover looked a lot like my own cat. I always thought books about people's pets were totally lame...but this was a great read! Homer's story is truly amazing. Sure, parts of…

If you like cats and need a heart-warming, touching story, then this is the book for you! Similar to "Dewey: the small-town library cat who touched the world", Homer definitely has a personality you'll remember. Told with humour and love.
