this is absolutely fabulous!

i have not yet read the whole thing (and i may not ever), but this is a collection of essays about number theory that were once published in a sci-fi magazine.

i read the articles on pi, imaginary numbers, e, infinite sets, number bases, and i forget the other one, but it's organized by subject and even category, so you can go at it as you please.

he is such a generous writer, in that he wants you to understand the material, and i think he does a wonderful job.
