The plot sounded interesting, and the themes very much so. The writing style irritated me so much that I put the book down at page 3.

Yawn. Fun book for a fanatic. Religous bleach for the soul.

This is one of my favorite books, ever. Piercy imagines a world that is one logical and sometime frightening conclusion to many societal trends. And the Jewish themes about identity and observance make it ring true.
