This book fills in the history of some of the people in the background of the Judge Deborah Knott series. I had read it before I had started that series, but had forgotten much of the plot and characters. Now that I have read all the Judge Knott books, reviewing Dwight Bryant's family history made the series richer. The solution to the killings in this book was shocking, and we learn how Mary Pat fits in. I'm happy this book was re-issued. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
