I was disappointed that the definition of Paranoid schizophrenia ended with this line: "and in severe cases, detachment from reality to the point of autism". Then I looked up the defintion of autism and it states "people with autism have severely limited use of language". I am a special education teacher and I can tell you that is a big generation. Some people with autism can be very focused on a subject they like and talk about it for hours, while others may be non-verbal. People with autism are not detached from reality, they just relate to reality differently than neurotypical people do.
