This book, I am shamed to say, is the worst non-fiction, horse-related piece I have ever read. The author starts out with a long boring story about her early horse experiences that have nothing to do with training horses. She then goes on about horse conformation, but only features her own horses and their temperaments and names. Like we would need to know about any of that. In my opinion, its just an opportunity to highlight just how good the conformation of her horses is, instead of helping others choose a horse.

The actual training part of the book, from what I could see is nothing spectacular. Troubleshooting and horse problems are addressed in the wrong way and are in no way fit to be advice.

The voice of this book is sparkly and immature, lacking authority and insight. Many irrelevant topics are covered, like choosing a horse and getting it accustomed to its new home. The topics seem airy and the most important issues seem to be neglected.

I would recommend a different horse training book, perhaps one that has more advice than pretty pictures.
