This is the first novel by Jessica Shattuck. I loved this book as well as her second, The Women in the Castle. One thing that was most enjoyable were the locales in and around Boston. The other was the stereotyping of the lives of a WASPY New England family trying to cling to their just "Off the Mayflower" way of life and values. The stereotypes are quite humorous and not at all offensive or vulgar. Highly recommended. So pour youself a cream sherry, kick back and enjoy!
