************************ 30 STARRED Review *******************
Prof. Pepper presents us with an exhaustively researched book, most important to the 50th year after the murder of Rev. King.
The professor mentions several instances of complicity by Frank Holloman, the Police and Fire Director in Memphis in 1968 when Rev. King was murdered. Although he mentions that Holloman was a higher-echelon FBI type, now retired, one seriously recondite piece of info, he is probably unaware of, goes unremarked upon.
Holloman had been a manager in the FBI/SIS during World War II; this was the Secret Intelligence Service which was active in Central America and South America.
Holloman's name had been declassified prior to 1968, while either the agents' names had been declassified then reclassified, or never declassified. This is many decades after WWII, yet still they are redacted in declassified files on the FBI/SIS?! The reason, of course, is that the CIA agents and FBI people, on the ground in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963, when President Kennedy was murdered and nearby the hotel in LA in 1968 when Sen. Bobby Kennedy was murdered, had also once belonged to the FBI/SIS, during WWII. Small world, huh???????
