I'm at school right now and I don't have the patience to read slow-paced books anymore. Any other time I might've come to enjoy the book. But that time is not right now.

The story is interesting, but the prose and conversational style is very formal, which is emphasized by the way it is read, and I think this slows the narrative down somewhat.

I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem. After seeing the series requested again and again I had to see what all the fuss was about. I'm SO glad I did! Precious Ramotswe is now one of my favorite characters - fun, witty, and with great fashion sense. The larger mysteries she solves interspersed with smaller cases were captivating and kept my mind turning through 'til the end. If you are stuck in a reading rut GET THIS BOOK!

A delightful, feel good series on DVD. I loved it, and I learned a lot from it.

So depressing that I had to turn it off. I don't understand why this book was so popular!
