Didn't finish. Didn't hold my interest.

This book unfolded in a beautifully written exploration of a mysterious experience of a recently deceased man. A gripping concept of death delivered through the pain and suffering of a family wrung feverish by loss. The author takes us along as witnesses to the passage from frustrated to appalled and then horrified of the restless Nathan Clark who cannot recall the circumstances leading to his current condition.
As a lapsed and ill-educated Catholic I had never thought to encounter a book that touched me this way. Here is a hell my instructors had never conveyed; here is a hell I could fear.
This is a novel I return to and find just as involving each time.
