I did not find this a very engaging read.

I would only recommend this book to someone who wants to drive themselves into deep clinical depression. I would certainly not consider this a "Youth" or "Young Adult" book. I have stopped reading at one hundred pages in, and already there has been the sexual assault of a minor, rape, murder, animal abuse, and multiple mutilations. If you have a strong stomach or are a masochist wanting to punish yourself or are a sadist, you might want to read this book. Seriously, I am not kidding.
