I am listening to the audio version of this book. While I tend to very much enjoy Binchy's work, and having Greek heritage in my family, I thought I would enjoy it. However, I am finding it tedious and repetitive and just wanting it to be over. If I was reading it I perhaps would have skimmed pages (or chapters).
it was my favorite too t hough i enjoyed them all, the lilac bus was less of a fav as was minding frankie and a few of the girls , loved all her earlier books
A departure from her early works, this short novel will still transport you—this time to a warm Greek island where four strangers come together, build friendships, and sort out their life crises. A perfect holiday read.
The authors books that I've read have several characters that meet as strangers and form a bond. She has a way of imparting wisdom between the characters that is though provoking.
An overly simplistic, formulatic story of four people who run away from their lives and meet on a small island in Greece. My first read of Binchy, unfortunately.
My favourite Maeve book! I have read ALL of hers and love them, but this one was amazing. Made me want to visit Greece.
Not as good as she usually is.
