This book! Is so good. (The cover also makes me laugh out loud, it’s so hilariously bad.) I love the prim-and-proper gentleman/scandalous lady trope, and it’s done to spectacularly good effect here. If that is your catnip, you need to read this book (and also Sarah MacLean’s Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke’s Heart, another great example of the trope). Loretta Chase is so, so good at what she does – this is wildly funny, and full of adventure (it’s basically a Regency road trip novel), and yet none of that detracts from the completely satisfying emotional arc of the romance between the two main characters. [insert happy sigh here]
