Very good Bruen. A more elaborate story than we're used to and set in Ireland and America, American Skin may be his best ( toughest?) novel yet ( I read a few and, happily, lots more to come). After the death of Donald E Westlake and his wonderful Dortmunder I do think that Ken Bruen has become my fetish writer. And it all began with "The White Trilogy" and that obnoxious but so much charming (?) character D S Brant. A pleaser to read. Every time I feel like I'm having dessert.
