This book is slower than the previous, but still an amazing read. Weber captures human nature well, and the struggles we face today in our society. Well written. I highly recommend this series. There is a lot of political positioning and story telling in this book, which does make it a slower read. Honor is the character of the century.

Honor has been hounded from her beloved Manticoran Navy ship command following her deadly duels in Landing (Previous book) and goes to Grayson to heal. While there, her leadership roles expand on Grayson; provoking a reactionary response by Grayson conservatives. Plots swirl around her. She has to deal with successive crisis while emotionally or physically battered.
