This is a modern retelling of the classic Sleeping Beauty story. A boy goes on a summer field trip on his own, against his parents’ wishes. After he gets lost, he comes across a mysterious town that has been under a curse for hundreds of years. He finds the princess asleep in her bed and ends up kissing her. This breaks the curse and the princess and him go on adventures together. I found this book to be a very slow read. You only really knew what was happening vaguely as there was too much going on. - @bookwormanonymous of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

oh my word! I loved this book so much. I want to read it over again. I loved this modern retelling of the sleeping beauty. I thought the author's style was great, too! I really enjoyed this book, and I think it would be an excellent movie. why hasn't it been made it a movie by now, its so amazing, and would be a huge hit! what a great ending, too!

I think this would be a great movie. :)

I love fairy tales and I thought that this modern version of the age old sleeping beauty was absolutely hilarious, a breezy and fun summer read with alot of interesting, although sometimes predictable, characther developement.

This book was definitely a great book to read since it took the original story of Sleeping Beauty and turned it into a modern time book which definitely made it easier to connect to and understand.

Out of all of Alex Flinn's modernized fairytales I would rank this second. So Beastly first, A Kiss in time second and Cloaked third.

I liked this book...However in comparasion with the other books i've read by this author, I thought this one was a bit predictable and lacking in a way i can't describe. It was good... just wasn't great

"Watch out!" Talia screams just as I bonk into something large and wooden. A tree? Yep. Roots. Bark. Really big trunk. It's a tree. I just crashed into a tree.
