Overall this was a fun book. I feel that the ending was a bit rushed but the concept is very imaginative.

Lots of dark humor and plenty of suspenseful action make this is a unique and enjoyable version of the classic Hansel and Gretel story.

The title made me choose this book. If you 'get' it, you should read it. Is it scary? Yes, Sol and Connie are on their own and on the menu. Is it funny? If you are a grown-up. Your neighbours, your neighbours' pets, your parents, drop off boxes, libraries and dinner invitations will cause you to be vigilant from now on. Are you ready? I'm hoping for a sequel...I think.
