Pretty funny. A Minnesota Christmas Carol. A little confusing at times - couldn't tell what was a dream and what was really happening.
I enjoyed the book and laughed out loud a few times. It's in keeping with Garrison Keillor's very intelligent humor about the travails of ordinary people, but a bit too melancholy to read at Christmas..unless you want something completely different!
A modern parody, a great reinterpretation of Dickens' Christmas Carol, complete with ghosts and a change-of-heart ending.
An appropriately-titled, typically funny Keillor read. I can count on three fingers the authors who can make me laugh out loud, and Garrison's #1. Strangely, I don't find him humorous on-air.
