A times, biting satire; at times, just dreary. Andrew Whitaker, whose life you follow for several months through ALL his writing is among the least sympathetic characters I've ever read. That this was the author's intention is amazing. I found it hard to stay with by the end. So delusional. So self-centered. But, funny in a way.
