This beautifully illustrated graphic novel is not only entertaining but very informative.

The narrative manages to takes us throught an intricate and intellectually challenging time when the very foundation of mathematics was being questioned by the great mathematicians of the early 20th century, among them Bertrand Russell. Along the way, the novel's author and collaborators appear as characters while at work on the novel, giving the reader time to absorb the complexity of the subject matter and a behind-the-scenes look at how Logicomix itself is being created.

Perhaps the only drawback of this work is the fact that it leaves the reader wanting to know more about Russell's later years when he completed his more influencial philosophical work. But there is no denying that Logicomix is a great example of how graphic novels can be an excellent vehicle to make complex ideas, and the men behind them, more accessible to all.

A clever, inspiring, and fun read.
