Very readable and I learned a lot about life under a Muslim man who started out devout and became fanatical. The book is written from the perspective of his first wife and one of his sons; a gentle, caring boy/man who wished only for peace.
Be aware that there are several descriptions of animal cruelty. I can't bear to read such things and skipped over them so I can't say how graphic they were.

Great Book! Through the author, Omar bin Laden provides an interesting, and very sad, account of life with his father and what drives the man who has changed all of our lives so profoundly. Moreover, the rise of Osama bin Laden and the events that led to his extremism were explained, providing clarity to the lead up to 9/11 and the connection with Sadam Hussein and the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.
