Did not connect to this book. Lots of characters and when you get invested in one character, the story changes to the next character. Didn't appreciate calling the group "cookie bitches" as it seemed an odd place for profanity considering the main character didn't swear at other times and I don't know, the stories just didn't work for me.
Another one of those Christian Republican American book for women. The large cast of characters made it difficult at times to follow/remember who was who and how they were related. The well-used formula of including recipes is a sure-fire way to please its female readership; typically American recipes with LOADS of sugar! Still, I give it 1 1/2 star because it managed to entertain me.
Wow, am I *ever* enjoying this book! I picked it up thinking it'd be some light 'chic lit'-esque kind of read and am I ever pleasantly surprised!
The writing and weaving of the stories is well crafted, and the concept is great.
(not that chic lit is *not* any of the above mind you...)
I wonder how it'll all end...?
