In interesting story about newspaper reporter Carter Ross and his attempt to reveal the secrets behind four executions. The first and second thirds of the story were very good, but I found the ending absurd and unsatisfying.

Investigative Reporter Carter Ross is a very funny guy who has to chase down the story behind four murders. He quickly finds out that newspaper reporting can have serious consequences. I'm looking forward to the next book - hurry it up!

What a delight to find a new author like Brad Parks. This is a very well-crafted novel with a plot that kept me turning the pages and characters that are well-developed, human (as in not perfect) and very likable. It has just the right amount of humor to keep it from being grim without devolving into a tongue-in-cheek mystery comedy.

A well written, exciting novel. I can't wait to read his next book.
