During the Dust Bowl, an army of photographers were sent out to document the disaster. Sandler combines the pictures they took and quotes from those affected to tell the story of those dark days.

Although this book is intended for young readers, it does not write down to them. Formatted a bit differently, it could be a coffee table book. Discussing how photography dealt with the Dust Bowl is an interesting angle and the discussion of photographers was welcome. Well done.
