Some very good recipes. However, the slow cooker aspect is a bit misleading as it seems the slow cooker is used mainly to prep ingredients (e.g. dried beans) rather then being the focus.

Good book! So far we have tried a few recipes and they came out well. Definitely I would recommend this to slow cooker vegetarian fans.

Nice pictures and a reasonable selection of recipes, however I tend to agree with others who have suggested that some of the recipes are under-spiced. I was a bit shocked to find that the recipe for chilli only asked for a few spices in 1/2 tsp doses. Cumin should never be used 1/2 tsp at a time!

To wit: Not bad, but not great. I much prefer the India Slow Cooker.

The cookbook was alright, but this wouldn't be one I'd purchase. The recipes were okay, but not something that would become a go-to for my house!

I've made 3 dishes from this cookbook, and they all turned out really well. Of course, you need to know your slow cooker's temperament and your own taste, and be confident when you need to adjust the spicing. The ingredient list is never too long or daunting. Just a hint, if you're going to braise tofu in a slow cooker, press it first by placing it between two plates with a weight on top, and then leave it tilted slightly to drain out some of the moisture.

I highly recommend this cookbook to anyone who enjoys the taste of paint with their uncooked vegetables. For those people who have different tastes, not so much.

This is a good vegetarian cookbook. I've made 3 recipe's so far and they were all delicious. Much better than some of the other cookbooks out there.
