This book was a little sadder than I expected, but had a great lesson. I really like the mixed-media style of artwork. I think it's a pretty classic book!

Absolutely wonderful third book about Knuffle Bunny and Trixie. After reading about Trixie's experiences losing her precious toy, my daughter and I had many conversations with my grandchildren about generosity, responsibility, and even pain. It allowed them to realize that generosity can bring unexpected rewards. Trixies expressions are memorable. Good book for home libraries.

It is the emotional storyline of Knuffle Bunny Free that will keep you thinking about the book long after you have read it. Like before, Trixie is utterly devastated when she realizes that leaving Knuffle Bunny on the plane isn’t like misplacing him in the laundry or at school. Her acceptance of this fact is an incredibly mature decision on her part, which sets this story apart from the previous two.

Good ending to the series, but I didn't think it had as much humor as the first 2. But maybe that's just because it is the end.

Knuffle Bunny Free finds Trixie and her parents going to the Netherlands (what Willams calls Holland, maybe they are going to the province of Holland) to visit Trixie's grandparents, Oma and Opa.

At some point during the trip, Trixie misplaces her Knuffle Bunny. This distresses her greatly, and her family tries to help her get over it by telling her how big she is getting and how proud of her they are. Her grandparents even try to distract her with a new rabbit that dances and speaks Dutch.

Nothing helps until Trixie has a dream that Knuffle Bunny is travelling around the world, bringing comfort to many other children. She then comes to accept that Knuffle Bunny is gone. That is until she makes an amazing discovery on the plane going home.

But then the story takes an unexpected turn as Trixie makes a decision that will change her life.

Author/Illustrator Willams has made it clear in the narrative that this is most likely the last of the Knuffle Bunny books, and that knowledge, combined with the story makes this book bittersweet. There is a very powerful message in this book for young and old, one that is worth sharing with the little ones in your life.

I suspect this is the last Knuffle Bunny book, and it has a perfect ending to the series. This is a heartwarming and funny story for anyone who has ever had a special toy, or for the parent of someone who is attached to a toy. I enjoyed reading it with my son who is way past Trixie's age, but remembers what it was like to carry around his favourite toy.

I don't know if this is the last Knuffle Bunny book or not, but it would make the perfect ending. My husband and I read it in Chapters last night and we both went 'awwwww!' at the end.

A great story about growing up and thinking about others.

In the last book of the Knuffle Bunny series, Trixie and her mother and father, as well as Knuffle Bunny, fly to Holland to visit her grandparents. However, it appears that Knuffle Bunny has other plans, since he just can’t be found after Trixie and her family leave the plane upon reaching Holland!
