I really enjoyed reading this book! Lots of great advice and philosophy with a story that holds your attention!
This is actually 3 books in one: a treatise on philosophy, a guide to motorcyclye maintenance and an autobiographical account of a man going mad and how that affects his relationship with his son. (There is even a fair amount of information on creative writing!) The history and chataquas about different philosophical schools of thought are remarkably thorough and engaging. And even though I am not a motorcycle buff, I found the maintenace sections interesting as well. But it is the poignant story of the father and son desperately trying to relate to each other on a cross country motorcycle trip that really drew me into this book. Overall, this is a true work of genius.
