The first book is definitely the best. This one was okay, but I have a feeling it's just going to go down hill.

Gwen continues her time traveling adventures in book 2 of the Ruby Red Trilogy. This book is just as much fun as the first one - ready for the third!

First thing I noticed was that the girl on the cover seems to be morphing her dress colours according to the title of the book. This is not that surprising as there is a related theme, in a way. I don't know if it is just me, or if anyone else feels this way, but for some reason the second books of trilogies and series just isn't as memorable as the first of those after. That would be the only reason I gave this book a slightly lower rating. But I still found the plot interesting enough, as we have a little more romance, mystery, and adventure spun into this time-twisted tale. Readers, enjoy! 4/5

Don't know how someone could write such an amazing book.

I love the first book so much and the second book is just as good! It's filled with adventure, mystery, romance, and a little bit a fantasy. Perfect.

Read it in 1 and a half days because it was so good! I'm tempted to buy one so I could have it forever.
Cliff hangers whyyy!?

Here's what I would have needed to love it: no Gideon, and lots more world building. Because I think the whole concept behind the mystery is fantastic, but the execution is rather flawed. Not enough is explained as to why there are 12 of them, where the prophecies came from, etc. I have so many questions about the world that seem to be explained with a simple "the Count said so" - which since he's censored their information, makes sense. BUT. I think that's an easy way out and I wish more information was given to us. I want to know more about the WORLD and the MYSTERY. NOT. MORE. ROMANCE. . This is a fabulous series- a good mix of adventure, mystery and a smidge of romance. I can't wait for #3!!

Sapphire Blue picks up where Ruby Red left off--Gwen and her time traveling partner Gideon are making regular trips back in time to meet with Count Saint Germain and others to work out the mystery of why they are the last time travelers and why their distant cousins Lucy and Paul have stolen the other chronograph to keep the Circle from closing. Gwen is seen as a poor replacement for her cousin Charlotte and Gideon keeps giving her mixed signals. Despite all this, Gwen begins investigating on her own, running into a young version of her beloved grandfather who decides to help her. Danger lurks; Gwen suffers humiliation; people aren't who they seem to be. This middle book sets the stage nicely for the final book, Emerald Green.

Ever since discovering that she was the Ruby, the last of the 12 time-travelers, Gwen's life has been all over the place. While trying to figure out all the mysteries and prophecies and secrets connected to the Circle of Twelve, she has an important role to commit to. But how do they expected her to follow when a secret society, a dangerous Count, and even her own time-traveling partner Gideon, are determined to lead her away from the truth? It hurts more that Gwen can't tell if Gideon believes she's a traitor to the circle or he's with her on her side, all while he's making his way to her heart.
