Read this a while back, Pronzini
is an excellent mystery writer I haven't read a lot of this series
but have enjoyed each one so far. Find it amazing he has been writing this character for 39+years!

The Nameless Detective and his agency take on a client who fakes a need for their services. The client ends up dead and one of Nameless' operatives is accused of murder. Add in the personal crises of each member of the agency and you have a decent read. Because the series is so long, the plots have become predictable. This novel illustrates that the series is showing its age.
