An inspiring tale about not giving up hope. Based on a true story of a boy and dogs. Written in free verse, the story has a dynamic and intensifying pace. Realistic black-and-white animal close-ups really add to the authentic and moving feel of the story. It's for you, nature lovers, dog lovers and anyone who enjoys to help others!

I just finished reading Mountain Dog by Margarita Engle. It's a lovely story with alternate narrators (a boy and a rescue dog). The voice is gentle, but the messages woven into the story pack a powerful punch and the illustrations are great.
Check it out when you have a chance. You'll love it
