as much as some of the pictures are entertaining ... some of the opposites are absolutely wacko and impossible to draw or conceive - this should have been filtered out in the editing process. We like the Pomelo books but 1/2 of the content has to be changed as I read it to my little one ... it's strange strange strange sometimes. It could be made so much simpler and clearer by a good editor .... children's books are odd, and so are their publishers.

This is a child's dictionary of opposites. It has a good range of simple to complex. My two year old and five year old liked it. I think it challenged them to learn new ideas and words. The only down side is that it is a bit long for little ones. I think this is a great book that I will rent out in the future when they get a little older.

This was an odd book. I was expecting something simple, such as big-small, near-far, dark-light, etc. It had some of those, however, there are also some pretty high-level, abstract opposites that caught me by surprised, like fleeting versus permanent. At first I wondered if my children, 2 and 6 years old, would like the book, and to my surprised they loved it, even the abstract portions.
