An amusing mystery for the 8-12 set, it's a good thing that P.K. gets lots of help with his disguises, and that the people who help him aren't the gossipy types, as he seems to be found out rather regularly. Perhaps 'widow woman' isn't the best bet for a 12-year-old? Between bosoms that "migrate north" and a corset that cuts off his breathing right beside the governor, the dangers our hero has to face are just beginning, if he's going to save his friend and finish his job.
