I enjoyed viewing time and their relationships from the viewpoints of each of the women, even as Lydia was the main character of this novel. But I also found myself feeling sorry for them all -- if these women are best friends for decades, which it seems they are -- where is the spark? the joy? the love? I see habits. I want more.

first time reading this particular author and I fell in love with the characters. a true read for those who have turmoil and don't know where to turn. I was amazed at the authors complexity and love for Lydia. a great read.

Exquisitely fine-tuned character sketches within a softly compelling narrative. Each party-goer gets a turn at expressing fears, loves, past and future dreams as the plot thickens and secrets are revealed.

I really enjoyed this book. It was thoughtful and touching and I found myself lost in the story.
