A book about two people connected through a forum on the computer who are facing major changes in their lives in 5 days. This story takes you through those 5 days while you learn about the characters and those people that are involved with the results of each of their lives on the fifth day. You are drawn into their lives from the very first. Both touching and heart wrenching, but so worth your time. You won't want to put this book down until you reach the very last page.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like the book or not. It was good. Love the two stories and the whole real of each family.
I was sad and the last set of pages had me a little teary eyed.
Be neat if the author does another follow up from a few a years on the families...

A very real and tragic story of a woman with rapidly progressing Huntingtons. Kept me turning pages til the very end.

A gut wrenching, emotional, and unputdownable book about love, life, and having to say goodbye. It’s told from the point of view of two protagonists that are so wonderfully fleshed out that I became totally invested in their lives and outcomes. I couldn’t stop reading, but the more I read, the more I dreaded reaching the end of the book. A fantastic first novel by a new Canadian author!

"Mara Nichols is terminally ill, and the disease is progressing rapidly; rather than let it rob her of every function, she's determined to end her life (unbeknownst to her husband and daughter). She's given herself five days to say goodbye. Scott Coffman also has five days -- he's about to lose his much-loved foster son to the boy's biological mother, who's been in jail. Though they've never met in person, Mara and Scott are close, thanks to an online forum; though their situations are different, debut author Julie Timmer adroitly captures their shared difficulty -- of how and when to say goodbye. You'll want to have a box of tissues available before embarking on this heart-wrenching journey." .A very emotional and controversial novel that has two storylines woven together. I'm very surprised that more people aren't talking about this book. I would highly recommend it
