Tammy is having a bad day. She's totaled her car, gotten fired from her job at a burger joint, and finds her husband getting comfortable with the neighbor in her own house. It's time to take her boom box and book it. The bad news is she's broke and without wheels. The worse news is her grandma, Pearl, is her only option-with a car, cash, and an itch to see Niagara Falls. Not exactly the escape Tammy had in mind. But on the road, with grandma riding shot gun, it may be just what Tammy needs

A boring nonentity of a film, TAMMY was simply awful. It's completely lacking in the jokes department and devoid of plot. The half-hearted attempts at humour in the film were already shown in the trailer. Don't waste your time with TAMMY.

Melissa McCarthy is a funny lady and good actress. The movie was OK with some funny lines!

Mildly entertaining. Really just a time-passer. I've seen better out of Mccarthy. This is no Heat I can tell you that.

Loved it overall.
Would have given it more stars without the profanity and the OVER emphasis on the gay agenda.

meh ... not a complete waste of time, but there are so many better options than this movie. Perhaps it sounded funny when they wrote it, but Melissa McCarthy can be a lot funnier than this.

OK, maybe this is not quite as good as Bridesmaids, but I loved it. I need a good dose of Melissa McCarthy every now and then since laughter is a great therapy. I did not laugh myself into a stupor through the whole movie, but I personally had some incredible gut wrenching laughing, beginning with the first scene - hello? The dear scene was hilarious!!!!! I think it has a good dose of Melissa for the Melissa fans, as well as a touching story of discovery.

Not a great movie what were they thinking when they agreed to act in this.

only ok. It seems the best part of the movie fits in the trailer for it. If you want a funny movie with Melissa McCarthy, then see "the Heat" it is much better

Tammy (McCarthy) is having a bad day. She's totaled her clunker car, gotten fired from her thankless job at a greasy burger joint, and instead of finding comfort at home, finds her husband getting comfortable with the neighbor in her own house. It's time to take her boom box and book it. The bad news is she's broke and without wheels. The worse news is her grandma, Pearl (Sarandon), is her only option—with a car, cash, and an itch to see Niagara Falls. Not exactly the escape Tammy had in mind. But on the road, with grandma riding shot gun, it may be just what Tammy needs.
