I enjoyed this film. The relationships with one another resonated, within the story. Dry and slow at times. The quirkiness ,flaws of the character is what makes this an indie film . Good Tuesday night movie.

A wasted cast in a film that really doesn't go anywhere.

This movie definitely has a Seattle feel in its locations. It is interesting to see a movie with shots of actual rain (as opposed to focused hoses). I was surprised at the sympathy evoked in me by characters I was prepared to dismiss. Altogether, I think perhaps my 4 stars is a bit much, but I was intrigued.

I had such high hopes for this film. This is such a huge disaster. Why would J. Depp agree to do a cameo? His name isn't even on the jewel case. Watching this, you would think that Seattle doesn't even have a music scene. Well it does. And I witnessed some awesome shows at the COMET. Some of which you can watch on YouTube. The Ellie Klug character is just as white-trash as you can get, and the actress, Toni Collette, failed at every scene. Were they trying to ride the coat-tails of "SINGLES"? There are so many good Seattle bands, and none are represented here. The joints that Oliver Platt's character smoked, have more soul than this film.

Toni Collette gives a fresh, winning performance as a Seattle alt-rock critic who can't let go of the past. Lots of familar faces here, all contributing to a gentle film that's enjoyable without shaking the earth.

Worth it for Thomas Haden Church

Warm, wry sense of humor.
It will especially ring a bell for viewers who are in their 30s or above who have had various loves in their life.
Good music.
I give it the full 5 stars for its heartfelt life.

Boring and ridiculous. Thomas Haden Church is the only reason to watch it. The plot is so thin it isn't really there. We're supposed to care about the vain, lazy, uninteresting main character? One star-for Haden

Liked Lucky Them more than I expected. Toni Collette opposite Haden Church an odd choice that works well.
