Oh my.

This is my first foray into Yasime Galenorn. I've tried her Otherworld series and it didn't grab me. I'll try it again now and probably have more success with finishing it.

I was engrossed in the story and wondered how it would end from the beginning. I enjoyed the haunted town of Whisper Hallow and learning about its citizens, both human and otherwise. Not all its residents are in the land of the living.

My one ... caveat? warning? surprise? was how graphic the sex in the book was! I certainly don't consider myself a prude by any means. Even so I found the sex scenes almost over the top for your average urban fantasy. I don't think they added anything to the story though I don't know that they detracted from it either. I'll continue reading the series but I'll most likely skim those parts of the books in the future.

Boilerplate romance novel wrapped up in death and pinhead character of Clive Barkers Hell raiser fame. Not to my taste.
