This was a fun and refreshing read. It doesn't reinvent the wheel when it comes to historical romance but it is well written with interesting characters.

Just a touch too long, but really a great story and so much fun!

Even by the standards of the Regency romance, this is wildly unbelievable -- but it's still a totally fun read. It's the first in the trilogy that precedes MacLean's popular 'Rule of Scoundrels' quartet and it's very entertaining to read about a proper Regency miss who decides to flout all of society's guidelines (she even has a list of the rules she plans to break, from drinking spirits to dueling). A solid series-opener sure to entertain fans of the genre.

Light and frothy fun. A perfect summer read.

Read this book for the "Vaginal Fantasy" book club... probably wouldn't have been something I'd pick up on my own other wise.. but I did enjoy it quite a bit. Sweet and funny, with enjoyable main and supporting cast of characters, and of course some good sexy parts. My only complaint is the frequent use of the word "plunder".

I knew I had to start this series soon what with the 3rd book already out and so glad I did! I loved it! It was great to read such a refreshing historical romance (and I read a lot of them!). Also as a fellow lover of list-making I think it's a great plot device. I loved the interaction between the hero and the heroine and thought the pacing of the book was very smooth. The supporting characters were fun as well, wonder if any of them will show up later? Basically, cannot wait to start the next book!

I enjoyed this one very much. Fun and actually sexy. The whole series is worth the time if you seek escapism that doesn't leave you feeling I'll...

Pleasantly surprised, quite enjoyed this book. The story flowed easily. Recommended to anyone who enjoys historical romances.

Definitely reccomend this novel. While it didn't have the mystery in the background that many of these books do, the author positions you to sympathise with and love the main self-deprecating character, Callie, the enigmatic rake, Gabriel and the dynamic and fun secondary characters. I truly did enjoy this novel.

My favourite historical romance of 2010! The heroine is a proper young miss turned wild. She decided to break all the rules of the ton in order to enjoy society like she never had before. While Gabriel, the lead male character wants her to be the perfect, respectable chaperone for his newly founded half-sister. Together these two characters explore all the possibilities of fun, scandal, passion and true love!
