I am currently reading CELL by Robin Cook. And to be honest I love it so far, this book is a real page turner. can't wait to finish it.

a typical Robin Cook medical thriller. A plausible medical breakthrough/ advance - iDoc, that will rock the health institution on its' head. Dr George Wilson, radiology resident, is the protagonist. As a Canadian, the whole American health care system of insurance and HMOs and cost is beyond me, but I enjoyed this book. Great ending, though a bit pat.

An entertaining medical thriller. Provides a balance of the possible pros and cons of (inevitable) future use of mobile tech in monitoring/managing each individual's health care. I am not sure if a (truly) heuristic algorithm is possible at this point in time but in a decade or so.... When that time comes, I hope data security is much more stable and robust then it is now. Further, that rules/safeguards would be in place so that the answer to questions like "Who watches the watchers?" is not
"Nobody." nor "They're self-policing."

The protagonist, Dr. George Wilson, is a believable character. He isn't super-human or a "Mr. Know-It-All" But, for a guy who seems to be a decent judge of character, the wool gets pulled over his eyes with seeming ease by good-looking women who only intend to manipulate him.

This was for sure an edge of the seat Medical Thriller. Dr. George Wilson, radiology resident, stumbles accidentally on what he believes is a high-tech conspiracy and pays a heavy price for not giving up his own private investigation. Whom can he trust? Probably nobody. Read the book and find out! I did and loved reading about the advances one can expect in the medical field where there is going to be a paradigm shift.
