I have a hard time saying that I liked this book, because it was 400 pages of doom and gloom, but I did find it super fascinating. It was an accessible read and I appreciated how Moore stayed away from going overly detailed in the legal descriptions and medical jargon. Instead, she focused on the women and their families. She was very detailed in describing their pre-poisoning lives, their deterioration, money problems, and unbelievable perseverance in fighting for justice. She presents these ladies as ordinary, relatable women who had something horrible to them. I had no trouble connecting with them and feeling sympathetic to their plight. A note of warning, Moore holds nothing back in describing the deterioration of these women’s bodies.
