Hilarious. Love how anything was possible with the instructions. 😁

Sputnik was an alien who appeared to most as a dog, but to the kid as a boy. He wanted the kid to help him save the earth from something, did a weird thing with a tree- turning it upside down to heal it from weapons fire, ... I lost interest halfway thru.

Another grand adventure by Frank Cottrell Boyce that's smart, empathetic, and hilarious. I couldn't put it down!

Heartwarming book with a great pace and lots of laughs! A gentle sci-fi story for kids with big hearts & imaginations. The chapters are quite short and there's lots of dialogue to keep readers of all levels interested. Highly recommended!

This book reminds me of a kid version of "the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy" and also a longer more serious version of "everyone's a aliebn when ur a aliebn too." Cute story - love how dogs are seen as the "dominant" species on earth from an alien's perspective.

Laugh out loud funny, nonsensical, perceptive, and heartwarming. Grades 4-7

"Well that's something I love about your species. How everyone helps to make an idea better and better until after about a hundred years it's completely brilliant. Fish and chips are like a big not tying everyone together. We can put that on the list. Fish and chips outside can go in the Companion."

"The Center of the Universe. That's my address."
Where's that?
"Well, where's the center of infinity? Think about it. The center of infinity is everywhere. From wherever your standing, infinity stretches out infinitely in every direction. It's infinite that way. And that way. And that way. Therefore you must be in the middle. Wherever you are, that's the center of the universe."
