'Counting on Katherine' caught my eye because I have seen the film Hidden Figures and Katherine Johnson was one of the three incredible leads. This children's book has wonderful lustrations with scribbled math equations throughout. It takes us back to Katherine's childhood and walks us through each stage of her life. Her brilliance and passion for mathematics shines throughout. She is a hero and an inspiration being the first female (and the first black female) to take part in a historic NASA mission. Great biographical read!
