we're all getting closer and closer to our deaths, all of the time. Doesn't the song TIME capture this realization? There used to be a local restaurant franchise in San Francisco called ZIMs. The one on 19th Avenue and Tarival Street was where I met my brother one time. On the tables there were mini-jukeboxes. Fed a quarter, they'd play you three songs. One of the songs I played over and over on that occasion was COLORS. the way the guitar ( courtesy no doubt of David Gilmour) interacted in a jazzy fashion intrigued my listening ear, amidst all the change to the city that had gone on. It is important to have an intrigued listening ear. This album just might not be their best, but most certainly, it is their best-selling. On Monday evenings, from 9 to 10, local rock classic station KZOK has a THINK PINK show. 102.5 fm: check it out! actually, it's from ten to eleven. P.S. I was able, later that evening, to call in to the show, and to make a song request, and I got a dedication: "This next song is a request from Alistair on Capitol Hill." He played YOUR POSSIBLE PASTS, from THE FINAL CUT. Thrilling!!
