Another great thriller without the usual paragraph fillers - numbers, road descriptions, and painstaking directions. This novel is set in New York city and, later, in a small town in the Norfolk area in England. The novel starts off like a kidnap, but Child has other storyline ideas to pursue here. You might guess mid-way through the book what has happened as Child leaves some good clues. Full of gory details of the walking wounded and those not left to walk. Reacher's sexual attraction to the older retired investigator does not ring true and that part of the storyline could be omitted without affecting the action/outcome.
