This book made me more skeptical of the business of antidepressants and big pharma in general. It's a well-written account of the history of depression and how it has been conceptualized, diagnosed, and treated. Greenberg is considerate of multiple points of view while still making his own opinions obvious. As a student in counseling psychology, I very much appreciated this treatment of the subject.
