I know that this film is going to stay with me. The intensity of the troubling storyline is matched only with the performance of Tilda Swinton as the mother. Without giving away any of the details, the filmmaking of the flashbacks and snippets of scenes from past to present play a crucial role in the telling of this story. I also found the theme of splattered red from the throwing of the tomatoes scene to other paint scenes reflective of the blood spilled and chaos that this movie ensues. As the mother tries to scrape away the dried red paint on her car/home, so is she trying to remove all the bad memories caused by her son, Kevin. Raw.
