30-ish Minute Reads

Writing a good short story takes skill and precision, so why is this literary format so under appreciated? Short stories let you sample an author's writing and branch out to new genres without committing to a longer work. Plus, if you're one of those readers who feels guilty about not finishing a book, it's a lot easier to let go after one story if the genre or style isn't your jam. Whether you only have 30 precious minutes to spare, or if half an hour of reading feels like a lot, here are some short story collections and novellas to help you achieve your daily reading goals and make you wish for 30 more minutes.
